As a self-proclaimed movie enthusiast, I was not thrilled when my younger siblings asked me to take them to see Minions: The Rise of Gru. And boy, did it live up to my expectations – or rather, lack thereof. The animation is indeed colorful and some of the character designs are decent, which is typical of Illumination Entertainment's style. However, the overall movie was a snooze fest.
